This year’s annual sleepover was held on the weekend of 6 – 7th March. The scouts were welcomed by a clear sky and a light NE’ly wind that continued over the whole weekend. After setting up the large mess tent so they coulkd do their cooking undercover the scouts split into two groups. As many of the scouts this year are young there was concentration on some basic skills.
After cooking the evening meal (from menus they had planned) they took part in wie games and then sat down to watch a film.
The night was cold but they soon went to sleep, only to be welcomed by a heavy frost in the morning.
After preparing the breakfast and lunch they set of on a cycle ride along the river thames, via the Eton Rowing centre at Dorney. A stop was made on the way back for lunch before getting back by following the route of the Jubilee River.
