Last weekend the Beavers enjoyed a robin-hood themed camp.
Dressed for the occasion, they practiced archery, went on a walk and had a surprise visit from Friar Tuck!
The Cubs took part in a Japanese themed Sleepover Last week, to share and join in the Jamboree taking place next summer. Scouts from Maidenhead and Slough came down to support the programme, making Fake sushi, Origami peace cranes, and Fish banners.
Well done to Jake, Barney, Lucas and Caiden for signing off on their Martial Arts badge. It was a great addition before bed to show and tell their Kit and Japanese martial arts interests the rest of the pack.
After little sleep… Saturday morning concluded with a Japanese style tea party, and reflection before more games and home time.
The whole evening was in support of Bagheera who is heading off to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan next summer as a member of the International Service Team.
In September the Scouts went on survival camp. In addition to having to build fires and cook from themselves, they learned about making traps, water purification and how to use an axe and saw. They also made an expedition into Windsor by train to go on a treasure hunt.
